On Saturday 28 November 2026 at 6:00 pm, the Madrid Arena welcomes the world’s best riders for the opening round of the 2027 season. In Spain, a nation of champions and a heartland of Trial, Madrid is preparing for another evening of competition and entertainment.
Eight riders, spectacular obstacles and the first championship points on offer: this opening event will set the tone for a season in which every result matters.
After a ten-year absence, the X-Trial World Championship returned to Madrid in 2022. The Spanish capital has hosted an event every year since, making this the fifth consecutive annual edition in the city.
That recent history has already delivered unforgettable moments. In 2023, Toni Bou secured his seventeenth Indoor world title here after a close battle with Gabriel Marcelli. On 21 December 2024, Jaime Busto won the opening round of the 2025 season ahead of Bou and Adam Raga in a fiercely contested final.
At the most recent edition, on 25 October 2025 during the 2026 championship season, Toni Bou returned to winning ways in Madrid, ahead of Gabriel Marcelli and Jaime Busto. All three return with the same ambition: victory in the capital.
Winner of the previous edition, Toni Bou will be the rider to beat. But Jaime Busto, already a winner in Madrid, knows how to challenge him. Gabriel Marcelli, runner-up at the editions held in 2022, 2023 and 2025, will be looking to take the final step.
They will be joined by Harry Hemingway, who claimed his first world Indoor podiums during the 2026 season, Matteo Grattarola, one of Italy’s leading Trial riders, and Arnau Farré, the 2026 Trial2 World Champion. Two additional riders will complete the eight-rider line-up.
Established stars, fierce rivals and emerging talents will face an intense battle on the Madrid Arena’s obstacles for the first victory of the season.
Located within the Casa de Campo exhibition grounds, close to central Madrid, the Madrid Arena is a versatile venue designed to host major sporting events and live entertainment.
Its circular structure, imposing dome and three levels of stands provide an impressive setting for Indoor Trial. Retractable seating allows the space to be adapted around the obstacles, placing the competition at the heart of the arena.
For X-Trial, this layout allows spectators to follow the riders and enjoy an overview of the sections.

X-Trial Madrid is as much about the atmosphere in the stands as the riders’ performances. Balancing high above the ground, climbing near-vertical obstacles and landing with extraordinary precision, the world’s best riders demonstrate their exceptional skills in every section.
Music, lighting and the cheers of the crowd create an experience for everyone. Motorcycle enthusiasts, families and live sports fans can all appreciate the difficulty of each obstacle and share the excitement when a rider achieves the seemingly impossible.
