X-Trial returns to Chambéry

The FIM X-Trial World Championship returns to Le Phare – Grand Chambéry on Saturday 30 January 2027 at 6:30 pm. One week after Leeds, the fourth round of the 2027 season brings the world’s best riders to Savoie for an evening of precision, spectacular obstacles and competition at the highest level.

With its history of hosting international Indoor Trial events, Chambéry offers a familiar meeting place for fans of the sport. The return of the World Championship adds another chapter to that story.

Bou’s victory, Hemingway’s first steps

At the previous World Championship edition, on 11 January 2025, Toni Bou delivered a commanding performance to win ahead of Jaime Busto and Gabriel Marcelli. While Bou pulled clear, the battle for second place went down to the final section, with Busto finishing just one penalty point ahead of Marcelli.

That evening also marked Harry Hemingway’s World Championship debut. His return to Le Phare will bring him back to the venue where his X-Trial career began.

Eight riders, a passionate home crowd

Eight riders will compete for victory and valuable World Championship points. Bou will aim to repeat his success, while Busto and Marcelli will look to turn the tables on the demanding sections at Le Phare.

The announced presence of Benoît Bincaz adds a local dimension to the contest. With the Savoie crowd behind him, the French rider will have an extra reason to deliver a strong performance. At this fourth round of the season, every position could prove important in the championship standings.
