Toby Martyn established himself as one of Britain’s leading X-Trial riders through spectacular riding and an ability to challenge the favourites. After making his championship debut in 2020, he delivered on that potential two years later with his first podium in Chalon-sur-Saône.

Sixth in the world standings in 2022, he continued his progress the following season with another podium in Madrid and fifth overall in the championship, ahead of Matteo Grattarola. With 21 appearances and three podium finishes, he repeatedly demonstrated his ability to compete with the best indoor specialists.

At the end of the 2024 season, Toby brought his X-Trial career to a close to focus on SuperEnduro. The switch opened a new chapter in his motorcycle racing career.
