Luca Petrella is among the Italian riders who have represented their country on the world X-Trial stage. He made his championship debut in Budapest at the final round of the 2018 season, finishing seventh in his first encounter with the sport’s established stars.

A move to Beta in 2019 brought more regular appearances in the arenas. Competing in four rounds that season, he developed his experience on artificial obstacles and finished eighth in the overall standings.

He returned to the X-Trial World Championship at the final round of the 2023 season, replacing fellow Italian Matteo Grattarola. With six appearances across three seasons, Luca has tested himself against several generations of indoor trials specialists.
